Throughout 2016, the CRA consulted with small and medium business owners, their service providers (accountants and bookkeepers) and stakeholder associations to determine how we could enhance our services and programs to better meet the needs of the business community.

And once the basics are figured out, it's a challenge to keep up with changes or new services that could make running your business easier. How can the CRA help you stay up-to-date?
Represent a Client is a service that lets business owners share secure and controlled online access to their businesses tax-related information with designated individuals, such as an accountant or an employee who performs payroll or tax-related activities.
Take a moment to think about the work and the process involved with preparing to file, and the filing process itself. For some businesses, this would also include your monthly GST/HST and payroll requirements.
My Business Account is a secure online portal that allows you to access your various business accounts online. Business accounts include GST/HST (except for GST/HST accounts administered by Revenu Québec), payroll, corporation taxes, excise taxes, excise duties, and more.
The personalized correspondence that the CRA sends to your business, either a notice or a letter, is intended to provide you with the information you need to comply with Canada's tax laws. For the purpose of this consultation, personalized correspondence does not include returns or forms.
